गो-लोक विभाग का आयोजन गौ-सेवा, गोकृष्ण भक्ति और गोवत्सल्य के महत्व को रेखांकित करने के लिए किया जा रहा है। विष्णु पुराण में गाय को सर्वोच्च संज्ञा दी गई है:
“त्वं माता सर्व देवानां त्वं च यज्ञस्य कारणम्।
त्वं तीर्थ सर्वतीर्थानां नमस्तेस्तु सदानघे।”
अर्थात् “हे निष्पाप माता! तुम सभी देवताओं की जननी हो। तुम यज्ञ का कारण हो। सभी तीर्थों में तुम ही सर्वोत्कृष्ट तीर्थ हो। मैं तुम्हें प्रणाम करता हूं।
यह यज्ञ चैत्र मास की प्रतिपदा तिथि पर आरंभ होगा और इसका उद्देश्य सनातन आध्यात्मिक परंपरा और आधुनिक विज्ञान के समन्वय को दर्शाना है। ऋग्वेद में उल्लेख है:पृथ्वी लोक में गौवंश मानव-जीवन के लिए प्रकृति का एक अमूल्य वरदान है। गौवंश के विलक्षण मानवोपयोगी गुणों और गाय की महिमा से अवगत करवाने के लिए अनुष्ठान में गौलोक स्थापित किया जाएगा। उस गौलोक में भारत के विभिन्न भागों में पाए जाने वाले गौवंश की सुसज्जित प्रजातियों के दर्शन करवाए जाएँगे।
